My grandmother had chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). I remember how she struggled to breathe and the devastating impact that it had on her life. Join me and the DRIVE4COPD campaign to raise awareness about COPD, which affects an estimated 24 million Americans.Together, we hope to screen the millions of people who may be at risk for COPD before it steals another person's ability to breathe.
DRIVE4COPD aspires to put the brakes on COPD by helping people identify symptoms and encouraging them to talk to their healthcare professional.
Both types of COPD — chronic bronchitis and emphysema — make it harder to breathe because less air is able to flow in and out of the lungs. COPD stands for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Have you been screened?
